Industry Day
The first edition of Amity University Dubai’s Industry Day included a number of prominent business owners, organisation heads, department leaders and mentors of public and private sector firms in the UAE. The initiative aimed to recognise the success of students during their summer internships and part-time jobs. Over 300 students participated in the University’s Summer Internship Programme 2019 and showcased their learnings at Industry Day through posters, research papers, videos, write-ups and portfolio presentations. Managing Director of Dubai Knowledge Park and Dubai International Academic City and President of Dubai Institute of Innovation and Design, Mohammad Abdullah inaugurated the day-long event, which kicked off with a networking session followed by an introduction to a collection of student projects that focused on the experience they gained and skills developed.
