Did you know that Chinese New Year is also called the Spring Festival because it celebrates the turning point from winter to spring? Based on the traditional Chinese calendar, Amity Dubai staff and students celebrate the occasion every year on campus. The day marks an opportunity for students to learn more about the region’s culture and traditions. Universities across the Middle East have a large number of expat Chinese students, including Amity University Dubai. Being a Chinese international student in a foreign country can be hard during Chinese New Year, which is why we try to create a sense of community for the students during this time.
